Back in the day before battery powered tools, there were many varieties of converters from drill to circular saw. I have a more modern one without a brand name, that opens to allow my 1970's Black and Decker to fit inside after removing the chuck and bolting on a blade. Mechanism is similar to those found these days that allows one to saw at an angle as well as 90 degrees to the work surface. I found your video whilst trying to remember which way to unscrew the drill chuck, been so long since I used it that way !! 🤣🤣

Order a switch but cant to get stand och if i push one of the Buttons the switsch closes is of itself after about 5sec. And stans off. Is it broken

I have had two kitchens installed by Wickes for the simple reason that I love the design; looked at Wren but couldn't find anything I liked. I genuinely feel that Wickes set out with the intention of giving value for money and everything is done with the best of intent. Where it all goes wrong is the installers they are forced to use. In both cases ours were an unmitigated disaster. The first fitter left the Franke sink I supplied(new and unopened in box) sticking proud of the worktop by 3mm and claimed it was because I hadn't supplied any fittings. Wickes supplied a new pack of fittings but he still couldn't get it to sit flush. When I looked at it it was because he had fitted the tap with the stud fouling the back of the base unit; I fixed it in two minutes. On the second installation eight years later the fitter omitted to fit base unit closing panels, and,as I had the worktop booked to be fitted the following day, I had to partly dismantle his efforts and fit them myself. He left a drawer set jamming which another installer advised would mean dismantling the kitchen to resolve. He was belligerent, obstructive and very wasteful and he was denied access to rectify.NEVER AGAIN.

Good stuff pete, but I notice a total lack of indicator light(pilot lamps) to tell you whats live, those DSOs could have had built in neons for example. Those chinese knife switches are essential. Its old fashioned tech but it works for dc. Didnt see what fuse links you were using? Now there is a conspiracy rats nests as I found. would be pleased to exchange ino if there is interest. BTW these hall effect current meters have become quite cheap as is the UniT clamp meter (totally changed my life long addiction to Avo model 8

We are all waiting for updates pls. BTW as a schooled leccy, whats your take on the all import subject of dc fuse links and breakers. I found this a very difficult and dishonest area. The manufacturers contrive to make it very difficult to match up (HRC type) cartridges with suitable fuse holders. A Siemens domestic consumer unit is ca 4x price of a Wickes special. I could ranr for pages on this but most wont get it. Would be happy to exchange my take on this plus equipment found if there is interest.

We assume PK is a trained electrician and he should be well aware that dc high current LV systems are a world of their own, not understood by mere amateur dabblers who fancy a bit of solar. Its really quite difficult to source legitmate fuse links , breakers (there are no proper rated mcbs btw for thisd duty). You need an AIC amps interrupt current of 20kA - yes 20,000 Amps. Think of a stickwelder arc flash x 1000.

You should of had the plastering done before the fit, all the 1st fix and plumbing done before installing the units.

I want to put my own lights up but I bought the junction box or whatever u call it to be able to run all the lights but wht I want to ask u is if it is possible to run them all on sa sort of loop? I bought what I suppose u'd call a junction box which has 4 entry points at the bottom and one going out the side. The side one is to connect to the mains, I get that, and what I wanted to know was could I just run the wire from one light to the next and next and so on with all 4 wall lights connected together on one line like u did there or can that only be done with certain lights? U made ur look very easy bro. I like those lights but I bought Down Lighters from Screw Fix last year and they've been sat in the boxes since then. I wired one up to the junction box and it actually worked but I don't want to be using that much cable for four lights. Am I making any sense mate??

There is no way he's a pro. I hope Wickes replaced all the damage at no cost to you .and with an actual pro fitter .my neighbour, bought from Wickes and the style of the kitchen was for a solid worktop but Wicks sold them a chipboard one in sted that couldn't go around round corners so Wickes proactively gave them a solid worktop for practically free .when this sort of thing happens to you don't roll over and accept it, put your metal jacket on and give hell. you will win in the end .no company want to go to court. its bad publicity.

Is that all you have? Lol. I have a quite a few and they all still work. On those small charger they just put the transformer on the outside so it's not really smaller.

The two sides in the opposite direction are both supplies( Ac/dc or Ac/Ac ) and the other side is use as the Load to the panel when it's used as a changeover switch.

Wickes have screwed us over are Bathroom. 1 week before installation we had a phone call to tell us our tiles were now discontinued. The manager refuses to talk to us. The installer isn’t getting back to us and it’s due to be installed tomorrow. Thank You Wickes!!

As long as it works and doesnt catch fire then it fine. I do wonder if they could be painted to match the wood tho
